BRK (Brocock) has announced the release of new models in its successful Ghost and Ranger XR PCP airgun line up.
With prices starting at £1,395, BRK says the Ghost Zero (pictured below top) is a response to customers who want the proven performance of the Ghost platform but at a more affordable price, achieved by replacing the carbon air bottle with a 300cc air cylinder.
The new rifle is available in .177, .22, .25 and .30 calibres. UK legal power limit versions have a 23 inch-barrel with a claimed shot capacity of 380 in .22. The Ghost Zero HP, which delivers up to 95 ft/lbs, is offered with the option of a 28-inch barrel purpose-designed either for pellets or slugs.
In keeping with BRK’s modular design philosophy, the Ghost Zero is available with DIY quick-change barrel/calibre kits. And thanks to an internal valve, the air cylinder can be uncrewed and replaced with a 300 or 480cc bottle. However, BRK says that converting a bottle Ghost to Zero specification is not a DIY option.
In most other respects, the Ghost Zero boasts all the standard Ghost features, such as a Lothar Walther barrel, adjustable two-stage trigger, Picatinny scope and accessory rails and a 20-point power adjustment wheel.
BRK says the new rifle will feature on its stand at The Great British Shooting Show at the NEC, February 13-15. So too will a new line up of four new Ranger XR2 rifles. Designed as lightweight hunting and pest control rifles as well as for competition use, prices range between £950 for the XR2 Lite and £1,350 for the XR2 Tactical (pictured below bottom) with the £1,150 XR2 Recon and £1,225 XR2 Compact in between.
Features include a new power adjuster, 17-inch Lothar Walther barrels with 23-inch barrels on high power models and a 12-inch barrel or the XR2 Compact, adjustable buffer tube and plenty of stock choices, including a folding option.
BRK says full details on the range, including dimension and shot counts, will be published on its website.
